Matariki

Matariki is a Maori tradition witch is a Moaori new year. Matariki comes at the middle of June. When Matariki comes seven starts appear out of no were. On Matariki people might make a Bonfire and then all of there whanau come and cook kumara in front of the Bonfire. Some people can celebrate Matariki in a different way like go to the park, paint face, and go to the pools or have a hangai and also do fire works at night or do something else for Matariki.
