Global Warming

Below these slide, is a my writing task (aka) my Time Capsule task.
Greetings, future human,

My name is Oalii and I’m from the past. I’m writing this in the year 2021, and right now our world is a complete disaster. So I'm writing this to ask you, if the world has developed throughout the years.

Firstly explain and tell me strategies to reduce a large amount of fossil fuels, such as coal, oil, etc. Fossil fuels cause masses of carbon dioxide, as you know carbon dioxide is one of the major things that causes global warming to occur.

Second of all, I really want to know if global warming has came to an end in your year. If it has ended please  tell me more about it. Like I want to dig deeper into your world your living in. I want to know a lot of recent things about your world. Like, how did global warming stop and who suggested the idea to start a solution about global warming?

Lastly, I would like to ask if, they've banned plastic in all areas? And is there other countries yet to ban plastic? I'm asking you this, because where I'm at right now, we've banned single use plastic, I guess you can say, it was a first step on eliminating Plastic Pollution.

Thank you for reading,

I’m looking forward to your reply.

Kind Regards,

Oalii

A Trip Around The World

Kia Ora Readers, this is a inquiry based task. On Tuesday the whole of team 5 had a practice meet. It was basically just so we know where to go to find work, and where to find the google meet link. So this was the task from our practice google meet. So basically I had to just talk with my family, and see where we would want to visit. " Travelling Style ". We all pick one country which was Hawaii. After that, I had to research a few things about Hawaii.

So I made this task kind of like a pick a path task. When you arrive at the second slide you have 3 choices to chose from. It's basically what you would like to know about Hawaii. The choices are, Food/dishes from Hawaii, Capital and Location, and overall facts about Hawaii.

Once you've made your choice you have press the word or the image, and it will take you to the slide with all the information, about that certain topic.

Hope you enjoy, as well as learn something new about Hawaii.

Reading task - Advice Column

Walt: make connections with our own experience as we read the text.

Task Description: What we had to do for this reading task is that there was a Tongan girl called Lose she is coming to the year 5 and 6 camp but is feels very very nervous about it. So we had to convince her that year 5 and 6 camp id so so cool.

Reading Task - Camp Connections

Walt: make connections with our own experience as we read the text.
Task description: This task was all about our year 5 and 6 camp. What I had to do was read Talita's blog post from 2015 and what she in that camp and also compare what she did on her camp and what I did in my camp. I got a lot of difference from her camp and from my camp. Then I had to write the same thing that we did on both our camp. It was so fun to see what Talita did on her camp 4 years ago.

Book Review - Maui

Walt: Understand figurative and descriptive language as we read.
Task Description. The very first thing that we had to do was read our school journal. Then we had to do a book review on how well we know our book. This book is called Maui. I had thought that because the name was Maui it would be related to Moana but it was no way near the movie Moana.

Poppy The Puppy

Walt: Using Correct Punctuation.

Task Description: Today for our writing task Mr Goodwin gave us a paragraph and with that paragraph we had to put the punctuation in the right place. The Punctuation were capital letters, full stops, commas and question marks, and apostrophe. The only clues we had was there was 21 capitals, 10 full stop, 2 commas, and 2 question marks, and 1 apostrophe. I finish really fast it was so cool to do this.
