Matariki

Matariki is a Maori tradition witch is a Moaori new year. Matariki comes at the middle of June. When Matariki comes seven starts appear out of no were. On Matariki people might make a Bonfire and then all of there whanau come and cook kumara in front of the Bonfire. Some people can celebrate Matariki in a different way like go to the park, paint face, and go to the pools or have a hangai and also do fire works at night or do something else for Matariki.

Mr. Blakey's bike accident

On Friday after school I had a bike accident. Well I was riding on my bike. I went around the roundabout. But suddenly a off duty Taxi came across and the Taxi hit me. Then I went flying up in the air and bounced on the windscreen onto the floor. I was lucky because I had only broken ribs. Then some kind people helped me up and then the ambulance a the police came and took me to the hospital. I was okay but I was is so much pain and I was also lucky.

Assembly

This morning at school we had assembly. First we did the karakia. The karakia has a lot of nice things about God. After that the prefects did a korero about staying focussed because we will need to stay focussed on our work. After that Mrs. Nua did the Duffy awards. The Duffy awards means if a child gets caught being good. Tonga was the one who got the duffy awards it room 14. Then Mrs Va’afusuaga came up. She is the sports teacher she gave’s the player of the day awards. Mia was the player of the day for my netball team. Finally we all did a fair well to Miss Sadler. Then we sang a song to her the song was called one call away. Then we all said good bye Miss Sadler. Finally Mrs. Nua gave a book bag to a new student. We finished the assembly with a song. Then we went back to class.

On the weekend

On the weekend it was my cousin birthday her name is Jahzara. We went to Rock climbing with her friends and Eva and my Aunty. I climbed all the way up to the top. It was fun because I am not scared of heights. Then we went to the adventure land. We went to the slide first. It was so much fun. Then we went to go have some food it was so yummy after that we went to play a little bit more. Then we went back home. It was a long day.

Stone henge

 In England there is a place called stone henge. The stone was made in thousand years ago and  was made out of stone. Also it isn't a building. It was built in 2000-bc. The stone shap is like a circle but when you are standing up it will look like a rectangles. The colour of the stone is grey. It fell down when it was 19100. The stone are arranged in a big circle. The stone where have and it is not easy to carry the stone but you can carry little stone but we can't carry the big stone we can only drag it. When you are standing in the middle it will feel like you are standing in a collapsed building. Some Poeple write their names on the stone.By Oalii
